Tomorrow is Valentine's Day. A day to show your affection and appreciation for someone you really love and care about. We like to celebrate this day by showing ourselves love and appreciation. It's so important to check in with yourself and nourish the relationship you have to your own mind, body, and soul.
So in celebration of Valentine's Day this year, we're giving you the perfect date-night-in with yourself. Keep reading for instructions to a DIY facial, an activity to connect with yourself, and a surprising suggestion for a night cap.
DIY FACIAL MASK
You know those days when your skin just looks...off? Yeah, that's when you need this DIY face mask. It's cooling, calming, and leaves your skin nice and dewy. Don't take it from us though, because YouTuber Georgia Peach's perfect skin is pretty much all the evidence you need.
Greek yogurt is loaded with things like lactic acid (which helps soften your skin) and probiotics (which helps soothe inflammation). Your skin will feel *so* soft!

Self-love, self-care and mindfulness. Three things we should all practice a little more frequently. So what happens when your heart is broken and self-love seems a little more difficult? Perhaps it’s about time you wrote yourself a love letter.
How to prepare:
Find your safe space
Get a pen and paper
Forget about your insecurities
Evoke the child within you
Think about what you love about yourself
Remember what your friends love about you

Channel your inner best friend and become your own secret admirer.
Imagine that you are someone from the outside. Someone who knows you deeply but has never expressed his or her lovely feelings. Play pretend just for this little task. You deserve to be admired and you should always be your own admirer.

When you finish your letter take some deep breaths and read it back to yourself while sitting in front of a mirror. It might feel silly but give it a try.
Switch up your night cap
Have you ever thought about occasionally finishing your day with a warm mug of hot cacao instead of a glass of your favorite wine? I know, banish the thought, right?!
